Utah State University announced on Apr. 9 that eleven of its football players have been named as members of the 2026 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society.
The recognition highlights academic achievement among college football players across all divisions who maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 throughout their college careers. In its twentieth year, the NFF Hampshire Honor Society included a total of 2,596 players from 365 schools.
The former Aggies honored are Trey Andersen, Noah Avinger, Bryson Barnes, Brady Boyd, Jacob Conover, Jake Eichorn, Naki Fahina, EJ Fisk, Broc Lane, Jared Pele and Josh Sterzer. These eleven were among the 103 student-athletes from the Mountain West Conference to receive this honor. At the Football Bowl Subdivision level, Utah State was one of only thirty-three programs with at least ten honorees and one of five such programs in the Mountain West.
Each athlete met rigorous academic standards while contributing significantly on the field during the past season. Several also received additional accolades for their performances and academic excellence during their collegiate careers. For example, Broc Lane was recognized as a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy in 2024 and earned multiple Academic All-Mountain West honors over five years.
To qualify for membership in this society, student-athletes must graduate by spring or summer and complete their final year of playing eligibility or be graduated players out of high school for at least three years. The program has now honored more than twenty-three thousand student-athletes since it began.
