Three Utah State track and field athletes earned second-team All-American honors at the 2026 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on March 13.
The recognition highlights the achievements of senior Logan Hammer, sophomore Ayodele Ojo, Jr., and junior Landon Bott. Their performances place them among the top collegiate athletes in their respective events.
Hammer tied for 14th place in the men’s pole vault by clearing 5.40 meters (17-8.5) on his first attempt before missing at 5.50 meters (18-0.5). Hammer has now become the eighth four-time All-American in Utah State track and field history, having previously earned first-team honors at the 2025 indoor championships and second-team honors at both the outdoor championships in 2024 and 2025. The event was won by Ashton Barkdull of Kansas with a jump of 5.80 meters (19-0.25).
Ojo finished 15th in the men’s 60 meters with a time of 6.71 seconds, making him Utah State’s first-ever All-American in that event and its first sprint All-American since 2016. He entered as the fifteenth seed and placed eighth in his semifinal heat.
Bott took sixteenth place in the men’s 800 meters with a time of 1:52.28, becoming Utah State’s first indoor All-American at that distance since 2018.
Utah State will begin its outdoor track and field season at the Utah Tech Invitational in St. George, Utah, on Saturday, March 21.
