Utah State University has extended the contract of gymnastics head coach Kristin White through the 2030 season, according to an announcement from Vice President and Director of Athletics Cameron Walker.

White is in her fourth year as head coach. Under her leadership, Utah State’s women’s gymnastics team has achieved significant milestones, including at least a share of the 2026 Mountain West regular season championship—marking the program’s eighth conference title. In 2025, White led the Aggies to their first-ever Mountain West Championship. This marks the first time in school history that Utah State has won back-to-back conference championships.

Walker praised White’s contributions, stating: “Kristin represents Utah State and our athletics department with pride and professionalism and exemplifies what it means to be an Aggie. Her teams have consistently competed at the top of the conference, highlighted by two championships over the past two seasons. We are excited to continue supporting her vision for the gymnastics program and the positive influence she has as a leader in our department.”

So far in 2026, Utah State holds a 7-0 record at home and is 14-4 overall—their best start since 1999 and tied for second-best in program history. With one home meet left this season, they could secure only their fourth perfect home record in nearly five decades. The team also recorded its third-highest score ever with a 196.875 at Southern Utah.

White expressed gratitude for her continued role: “I am incredibly grateful to continue leading the gymnastics program at Utah State,” said White. “When I arrived almost four years ago, I believed deeply in what this program could become, and I am thankful to Cam for trusting me with the opportunity to build something special here in Logan.

“This extension reflects my amazing staff, dedicated student-athletes, and incredible support staff who make everything we do possible. The support from this community has meant everything – not just to me, but to my entire family and team. Cache Valley is special and we love being part of Aggie Nation.”

In addition to team achievements during her tenure—including advancing to NCAA Regionals as a team for the first time since 2022—individual gymnasts have earned recognition as well. Five athletes qualified for NCAA Regionals’ second round last year.

In 2025 alone, ten gymnasts combined for 26 weekly Mountain West awards—the most among conference programs—and ten received All-Mountain West honors. That season saw Utah State average its second-highest bars score (48.982) and fourth-best beam average (48.934) in school history; they also posted their second-highest bars score ever (49.375).

During White’s initial three seasons with Utah State, twelve gymnasts collected eighteen All-Mountain West honors—including Brianna Brooks as both MW Championship MVP and Beam Specialist of the Year in 2025; Brooks was twice named North Central Region Gymnast of the Year (2023–24). Six gymnasts qualified individually for NCAA Regionals on eight occasions under White’s guidance.

Academic performance has also improved under White’s leadership: thirty-eight gymnasts have earned Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association Scholastic All-America Awards—with a record fifteen recipients during 2024–25 when USU finished eighth nationally with a program-best GPA of 3.78.

Additionally, twenty-five athletes have received Academic All-Mountain West honors while twenty-four were recognized as MW Scholar-Athletes during White’s tenure.
