Utah State University’s men’s basketball team lost to UNLV 92-65 on Tuesday night at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The game marked the Aggies’ final road contest of the 2025-26 regular season.
Despite the defeat, Utah State remains atop the Mountain West Conference standings and will compete for a league title in its last regular-season game against New Mexico this Saturday in Logan.
The Aggies struggled offensively during the first half, scoring only 24 points on 24 percent shooting from the field. After an early lead of 9-4, Utah State missed 13 consecutive shots and went over 11 minutes without a made field goal. By halftime, they trailed UNLV 32-24.
In the second half, both teams improved their shooting. Utah State increased its accuracy to 47 percent, but UNLV shot 70 percent from the field after hitting 45 percent in the first half. The Aggies managed to cut UNLV’s lead to four points early in the second half but were unable to maintain defensive stops as UNLV responded with a pair of runs that extended their advantage.
Junior guard Mason Falslev, junior wing Tucker Anderson, and graduate guard Drake Allen accounted for most of Utah State’s offense, combining for 46 of the team’s 65 points. Falslev led with a double-double—20 points and 11 rebounds—along with four assists and three steals. Anderson scored a season-high 15 points off the bench and contributed three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Allen added 11 points and five assists.
Overall, Utah State shot 37.7 percent from the floor (23-of-61), including just five-of-30 from three-point range (16.7 percent), and made 14-of-20 free throws (70 percent). UNLV finished at nearly 58 percent shooting from the field (34-of-59), including ten-of-25 from beyond the arc (40 percent) and converted over 82 percent of its free throws (14-of-17).
Utah State will host New Mexico at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m., with coverage available via Mountain West Network and local broadcast on KMYU.
