Utah State gymnastics achieved a significant win at home against No. 25 Oregon State, posting a score of 196.650 to Oregon State’s 196.150 on Friday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in Logan, Utah. The score marks the third-highest home total and the tenth-highest overall in program history.

This result extends Utah State’s streak of scoring at least 196.000 points to four consecutive meets. With this victory, Utah State’s season record improves to 15-4, and the team completes its home schedule undefeated at 8-0—a feat accomplished only four times in the program’s 49-year history.

The team’s strong start is second only to the 1978 squad, which began its season with a record of 27-1.

Earlier in the week, Utah State secured another notable achievement by defeating Southern Utah with a score of 196.875-195.725—its third-highest mark ever—and announced that head coach Kristin White has signed a contract extension through the 2030 season.

During Friday’s meet, Utah State started on vault with a score of 48.975, followed by a season-best 49.325 on bars (tied for fifth highest in school history), then recorded scores of 49.025 on beam and another season-high of 49.325 on floor exercise.

Junior Nyla Morabito led the Aggies by tying for first on vault with a career-high-tying score of 9.875 and winning floor with another career-high-tying mark of 9.925. She now has accumulated twenty event titles in her collegiate career—eleven on vault (fifth-most in school history), eight on floor, and one on beam—with eleven titles this season alone.

Sydney Jelen won bars with a career-best score of 9.925 (tied for eleventh-best in program history) and has claimed five career event titles—three on beam and two on bars.

On beam, Mya Witte and Kaylie Medrano shared top honors with scores of 9.850; this was Medrano’s second title this year and third overall, while Witte earned her second career title.

The team posted five individual career highs during the competition along with one season high.

Head coach Kristin White commented: “Incredibly proud of our women. Tonight was another historic night for us. I believe this is our fourth 196.000 in a row. No moment has been too big for them, and they continue to get better every meet. I’m really proud of them and excited for the rest of the year.”

Utah State will finish its regular season at Arizona State alongside Southeast Missouri in a tri-meet scheduled for Sunday, March 15 at 2 p.m MT.
