Utah State gymnastics will compete in the third annual Mountain West Championships on March 21 in Boise, Idaho, aiming to defend its title from last year. The meet, hosted by Boise State at ExtraMile Arena, is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be streamed live on the MW Network.

The event holds significance as Utah State seeks to continue its recent success after winning the 2025 Mountain West Postseason Championships with a score of 196.100. Head coach Kristin White said, “The team is hungry and excited for the Mountain West Championships. We are focused on three things: joy, trust, and having fun. When we do those three things, we have our best meets. It’s been a regular season for the record books, and we look forward to doing the same in the postseason. The Aggies are ready to arrive in Boise.”

Utah State enters the championship ranked first in the Mountain West and 28th nationally with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 195.855. The team also leads conference rankings on beam, bars, and floor events while holding second place on vault. Several gymnasts have earned individual honors this season: junior Nyla Morabito ranks third in the conference on vault; junior Isabella Vater is third on floor; sophomores Olivia Orengo and Lundyn VanderToolen are tied for second on bars; juniors Sydney Jelen and Mya Witte are tied for third on beam.

With a home win against Air Force on Feb. 27, Utah State secured a share of this year’s regular season championship—its eighth conference title overall and second consecutive year claiming both regular season and postseason championships. Six gymnasts received seven combined All-Mountain West honors this week.

The Aggies have matched school records with five straight scores over 196.000 points this season and achieved their fourth undefeated home campaign in program history with an 8-0 record at home.

Looking ahead, Utah State will be among the top teams competing at NCAA Regionals beginning in April—marking its second-straight regional appearance as a team.
