Utah State gymnastics secured its second consecutive Mountain West Postseason Championship with a score of 196.400 at ExtraMile Arena in Boise on March 21. The team won three out of four event titles during the meet, marking back-to-back postseason titles for the first time in program history.

The win adds to Utah State’s record, making it their ninth conference championship overall and continuing a season that also saw them share the regular season title with Air Force. Junior Mya Witte was named Championship MVP after achieving a career-high score of 9.950 on beam, which ties for the second-best beam score in school history.

Boise State finished second with a score of 196.200, San José State took third at 195.800, and Air Force placed fourth with a score of 195.750. Utah State set a new school record by earning its sixth consecutive meet score above 196.000, surpassing the previous record set in 2021.

The Aggies improved their season record to 19-5, which is their sixth-most wins ever and most since the team’s performance in 1986. The team’s success was driven by strong performances on beam and floor rotations; they posted their second-best beam score this season (49.200) and achieved a season-high on floor (49.350).

Individually, freshman Mara Gruber tied her career high to win the floor title with a score of 9.900 while junior Nyla Morabito and sophomore Lundyn VanderToolen shared vault honors at 9.850 each. Morabito also set a new single-season school record by winning her tenth vault title this year.

Utah State will advance as one of the top thirty-six teams to compete at NCAA Regionals beginning early April—marking its twenty-ninth appearance overall as noted by program records—and fans can watch selection details live on ESPNU.
