Utah State University’s men’s basketball team will conclude its 2025-26 regular season on Saturday by hosting New Mexico at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Utah State has already secured at least a share of the Mountain West Conference regular season championship, holding a 14-5 record in league play. If Utah State wins on Saturday, it will claim the title outright. A win by New Mexico would allow them to share the title.
This marks the third time Utah State has won a Mountain West regular season title since joining the conference in 2013, with previous titles in 2019 and 2024. The only outright championship came in 2024.
The Mountain West Tournament is set for March 11-14 in Las Vegas. Utah State has locked up a first-round bye and will enter as either the No. 1 or No. 2 seed.
With one more victory, Utah State can achieve its fourth consecutive season with at least 25 wins—a feat that would be unprecedented for the program, which has recorded thirteen such seasons overall.
Utah State currently holds the No. 28 spot in the NET Rankings, making it the highest-ranked Mountain West team and one of eight from the conference ranked within the top 100.
Following Saturday’s contest, Utah State will recognize five seniors—Drake Allen, Garry Clark, MJ Collins Jr., Zach Keller and Kolby King—during a senior day ceremony.
Both MJ Collins Jr. and Mason Falslev are among the top scorers in the Mountain West Conference, each ranking within the top ten for both points per game and shooting percentage. Utah State is also unique within its conference as it is “the only team in the MW with two players averaging at least 15 points per game.”
Mason Falslev leads the league in steals per game (2.00), while Drake Allen ranks third (1.93). As a team, Utah State averages 8.8 steals per game, placing them twenty-fifth nationally.
Saturday’s matchup marks the fifty-first meeting between Utah State and New Mexico. The Aggies lead the series with thirty-five wins to fifteen losses and have taken twelve of their last sixteen games against New Mexico—including an earlier victory this season by a score of eighty-six to sixty-six in Albuquerque. In Logan, Utah State holds an eighteen-to-three advantage over New Mexico.
