Utah State head men’s basketball coach Ben Jacobson announced on April 10 the signing of transfer forward Will Hornseth, who will join the Aggies for the 2026-27 season as a junior. Hornseth previously played two seasons under Jacobson at Northern Iowa.
Hornseth, a 6-foot-8, 235-pound forward from De Pere, Wisconsin, was recognized for his improvement in the Missouri Valley Conference during the 2025-26 season. He averaged 11.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game for Northern Iowa while starting all 35 games and contributing to an MVC Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance.
Hornseth shot an efficient 60.1 percent from the floor last season and holds a career shooting percentage of 62.3 percent, which ranks first in both Northern Iowa and Missouri Valley Conference history. He scored in double figures in 23 games and recorded five or more rebounds on seventeen occasions.
As a freshman during the previous year, Hornseth appeared in thirty-three games with one start, averaging five points per game while making over sixty-eight percent of his shots from the field.
Before college, Hornseth was a four-year letterwinner at De Pere High School where he scored over fourteen hundred career points and helped lead his team to two conference championships with an overall record of eighty-three wins and five losses across three seasons.
