Utah State men’s tennis achieved a 4-0 victory against Portland State on March 24 at the Sports Academy & Racquet Club in Logan, Utah. The win marks the Aggies’ third consecutive sweep this season.

The match is significant as it demonstrates Utah State’s strong form heading into upcoming Mountain West Conference play. With dominant performances in both doubles and singles, the team continues to build momentum.

In doubles competition, Keanu Rigby and Dmitri Goubin gave Utah State an early advantage with a 6-2 win at the third position. Xavier Calvelo and Jakub Medved clinched the doubles point for the Aggies by winning their match at the top spot, while Eliot Nobel and Emmanuel Alex were leading before play was halted after the point was secured.

During singles play, Medved was first to finish with a straight-set victory at No. 4 singles. Goubin followed with another straight-set win at No. 5, and Eemil Pasanen sealed the overall match by winning his contest at No. 6 singles. The remaining three matches were left unfinished but saw each Aggie holding substantial leads before play concluded.

Utah State will next face New Mexico on Friday, March 27 as they return to conference action on the road. Fans can follow updates through social media channels dedicated to USU men’s tennis and athletics programs.
