Utah State will enter the Mountain West Tournament as the number one seed, with games scheduled from March 11 to March 14 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The championship game is set for Saturday, March 14, at 4 p.m. Mountain Time and will be broadcast on CBS.

The tournament holds special significance for Utah State, as it marks the team’s 13th and final appearance since joining the league in the 2013-14 season. The Aggies have previously won the tournament twice, in 2019 and 2020, and have reached the championship game four times over the past seven years. Their record in Mountain West Tournament play stands at 18 wins and 10 losses.

As the top seed, Utah State earned an automatic bye into the quarterfinals and will face either UNLV or Wyoming. If victorious, they would advance to meet either Grand Canyon or Nevada/Air Force in the semifinals. The team secured its position by winning the outright regular season title with a conference record of 15-5—its third such title in program history and nineteenth overall league title.

Several members of Utah State received postseason honors: Jerrod Calhoun was named coach of the year; Mason Falslev earned player of the year recognition along with first team and all-defensive team selections; Karson Templin was named sixth man of the year; MJ Collins Jr. made second team all-conference; and Drake Allen received honorable mention.

With a recent win over New Mexico on March 7, Utah State achieved its fourth consecutive season with at least 25 victories—a first for the program—and its fourteenth overall. The Aggies are currently ranked No. 29 in NET Rankings, making them both the highest-ranked Mountain West team and one of eight from their league within NET’s top 100.

Looking ahead to tournament play, Utah State features two players—MJ Collins Jr. and Mason Falslev—who rank among the conference’s top ten scorers and shooters. They are also unique within their league as having two players averaging at least fifteen points per game.
