Utah State soccer head coach Manny Martins announced on May 14 that Belle Sorensen, a transfer forward from Utah Valley, will join the team this fall.
Sorensen is from Bountiful, Utah. She played for Utah Valley this spring after graduating early from high school and enrolling in college before the spring semester. Sorensen will arrive at Utah State as a true freshman with four years of eligibility remaining.
At Bountiful High School, Sorensen was recognized as a top player in the state. She was named to the 5A all-state team all four seasons and earned first-team honors during her last three years. In both 2024 and 2025, she was selected as the Utah 5A Player of the Year. In addition, she received the 2026 Utah State of Sport High School Female Athlete of the Year award for her achievements in prep athletics. Over her high school career, she scored 81 goals and had 33 assists. As a senior in 2025, she led all players in Class 5A with 25 goals and ranked second with 11 assists while helping Bountiful win its first state title since 2006.
Sorensen also played club soccer for La Roca FC between 2022 and 2025 where she was leading scorer when they won the Northwest Division ECNL U-18 conference title. She competed on championship teams at both national and regional levels through UYSA events in previous years.
Martins said he looks forward to welcoming Sorensen to campus as part of his squad for the upcoming season.
