Utah State softball opened Mountain West Conference play with a three-game series against Fresno State, followed by a nonconference matchup at Idaho State on March 17.

The start of conference play marks an important phase for the Aggies, who are looking to improve their record after recent losses. The team is currently 10-14 overall and will aim to secure its first conference win of the season.

Fans can follow live stats for all games via StatBroadcast, with the Fresno State series streamed on the Mountain West Network and the Idaho State game available on ESPN+. Updates are also provided through USU’s social media channels and website. Utah State has faced both opponents multiple times in previous seasons, trailing Fresno State in their all-time series but leading against Idaho State.

Recent performances include an 0-4 stretch last week, with losses to Kansas and Idaho State. Sophomore outfielder Faith Kroening hit her first career home run during this period, while freshman infielder Jazmin Ramirez led the team in batting average and made her pitching debut. Kroening has emerged as a key player this season, starting every game and leading the squad with a .387 batting average.

Defensively, Utah State ranks second in the Mountain West for fielding percentage at .968. Seven players have maintained perfect fielding records so far this year. Senior infielder Kenzee Olsen recorded her first career grand slam earlier in the season, contributing to an Aggie victory over Seton Hall.

Looking ahead, Utah State will continue Mountain West competition with a home series against Nevada from March 20-22 at Johnson Field. This season is significant as it marks Utah State’s final year in the Mountain West before joining the Pac-12 Conference on July 1.
