Utah State softball will continue its season with a three-game home series against San José State from April 17 to 19, before heading to Orem for a matchup against Utah Valley on April 21.

The upcoming games are important as the Aggies look to improve their standing in the Mountain West Conference. Fans can follow the action with live streams of the San José State games available on the Mountain West Network and live stats via StatBroadcast. The game at Utah Valley will be broadcast on ESPN+, and updates will be provided through USU softball’s social media and website.

Utah State has played San José State 92 times previously, with the Spartans holding a slight advantage overall. However, recent matchups have been closely contested, including a two-game sweep by Utah State last season in San Jose. Against Utah Valley, the Aggies hold an all-time lead but lost both meetings earlier this year at a tournament in St. George.

In their most recent outing, Utah State defeated Weber State on Tuesday with senior infielder Kaylee Erickson contributing five runs through home runs and senior outfielder Kya Pratt hitting three doubles. The team’s defense has also been strong this season, ranking among national leaders in double plays turned.

Several players have stood out statistically: sophomore catcher Jaelyn Castillo leads the conference in catching runners stealing; Pratt is having her best season at bat; Erickson ranks among conference leaders in home runs despite missing time due to injury; Faith Kroening has emerged as a key starter after limited play last year; and pitcher Rylie Pindel leads the staff with five complete games.

Looking ahead, Utah State will host Colorado State for its final home series of the year from April 24-26 before closing out its home schedule against Weber State on April 28.
